Living Library Event 2024
We are pleased to share the success of a recent Living Library event, held on March 27, 2024, at the Esch Youth Hostel. This unique initiative was designed to foster understanding and empathy through personal stories.
Event Highlights
The intricate relationship between cultural heritage and sustainable development is a global concern, transcending national boundaries. This project is dedicated to exploring how youth workers worldwide can contribute to preserving cultural heritage while promoting sustainable development practices. It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how cultural heritage, an invaluable asset for any society, can be a driving force for sustainable and inclusive growth.

Living Books
Our “books” were volunteers who have experienced discrimination or belong to groups at risk of stereotypes, stigma, prejudice, or discrimination. These individuals shared their personal journeys, offering insights into women’s and human rights.

Interactive Experience
Visitors, acting as readers, had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with these living books. This interaction allowed for a deep dive into the real-life experiences of women who have faced various forms of discrimination.
