The Women Entrepreneurs Shaping Economic Participation (WESEP) training course in Luxembourg aims to empower women to become entrepreneurs, mentors, and leaders in their communities. The program supports participants in turning ideas into action through business planning, financial decision-making, and mentorship development. The initiative highlights real-world inspiration through study visits to female-led enterprises and creative ventures, showcasing women reshaping business culture with sustainability, innovation, and purpose. The second edition, WESEP2, continues this mission, fostering growth and empowerment for women at different life stages through practical exercises and microbusiness simulations.

Key Activities & Learning
Entrepreneurship and Leadership Training
Participants engaged in sessions on business planning, financial decision-making, and entrepreneurship fundamentals, gaining tools to transform ideas into viable projects and strengthen leadership potential. These activities supported confidence-building and strategic thinking essential for women-led initiatives.


Study Visits to Female Entrepreneurs
Participants met women business leaders across various industries, from artisanal chocolate production to sustainable fashion and eco-conscious products. Each visit highlighted real entrepreneurial journeys, lessons learned, and approaches to balancing creativity, sustainability, and business growth.


Microbusiness Game Simulation
Participants applied their learning through a dynamic microbusiness simulation, making strategic financial and operational decisions to experience the challenges of running a small business. This hands-on exercise emphasized teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation under real-world conditions.


Mentorship and Networking
The program fostered collaboration among participants and with experienced female entrepreneurs, encouraging mentorship relationships and peer learning. This exchange supported long-term development and strengthened a network of women committed to mutual empowerment.


Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship Visit
Visits such as to Lola Valerius – Chocolatier du Luxembourg offered personal insights into creative entrepreneurship, emphasizing resilience, craftsmanship, and the realities of managing an independent business. Participants reflected on how passion-driven ventures can thrive sustainably.
